135-Litre Moving Crate Hire

Make moving easy, one room at a time.

Reusable 135-litre moving crates for your next move in Stevenage. Strong plastic crates with attached lids help keep your belongings organised from your old home to your new one.

Fully booked through 26 October 2026. Hire dates available from 27 October, subject to availability.

Pack, label, stack, move

1. Pack room by room. Place the crates you need in each room and fill them with that room’s belongings.
2. Label the pouch. Write the room name on a card and slide it into the crate’s label pouch. Use the pouch, not sticky labels.
3. Stack out of the way. Close the lids and stack your crates neatly until moving day. At your new home, take each crate straight to the room on its label.
4. Unpack and return clean. Empty the crates, remove your room cards and return the crates clean by your agreed return date. Empty crates nest together to save space.

Simple hire pricing

• 15p per crate per day.
• Minimum 10 crates and seven days: hire from £10.50.
• One £50 refundable security deposit per booking, paid with your hire charges. Minimum booking total: £60.50 before delivery or extras.
• Overdue crates: 30p per crate per day after the agreed return date.

Collection and delivery

Collect and return yourself free by appointment at 49 Angotts Mead, Stevenage, SG1 2NJ. Local delivery is £30 and return pickup is £30, within 10 miles of SG1 2NJ. Delivery and collection beyond 10 miles are available at an extra cost: contact us before booking for a quote.

Return by 2:00pm on your agreed return date. Hire collections start at 2:30pm; earlier collection may be arranged if crates are in stock.

Proof of your new address

Proof of your new residential address is required before we hand over hired equipment. Please bring a copy of a tenancy agreement, completion letter, or recent utility or council-tax bill showing your name and new residential address. You may cover unrelated details, including financial information. We check and securely retain the copy for the duration of the hire, then securely destroy it when all hired equipment is returned. Proof is required before handover; contact us before booking if you cannot provide it.

Choose your extras

Writable room cards: 10p each. Sack trolley hire: £15 per trolley per hire, with earlier return available by arrangement. Two trolleys available, subject to availability.

Cleaning and stickers

All crates must be returned clean or a £1 cleaning charge applies per unclean crate. No stickers are allowed; sticker removal is charged at £5 per sticker.

Crate details

Capacity: 135 litres. External size: 112.5 × 48 × 36cm. Internal size: 100 × 36 × 34cm. Product image is a branded mock-up of the referenced crate model.
